Kendriya Vidyalaya, NFC Nagar, Ghatkesar was established in the year 1995. The foundation stone was laid on 31st August,1995 by Kum Selja, Honorable Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in the presence of Dr. Ravi Mallu, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Shri Nandi Yellaiah, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Shri Devender Goud, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly. The inauguration of the Vidyalaya building was done by Shri R. Kalidas, Chairman and Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad in the presence of Collector and VMC Chairman, L.Prem Chandra Reddy, IAS, Shri C.Neelap AC, Hyderabad Region and Shri M.Ravi Kumar, Principal and other dignitaries. Initially the Vidyalaya started functioning with the modest strength of 120 in the classes I to IV and has been recording a sustainable development both in terms of the strength and the standard of the students. At present the Vidyalaya has a strength of around 860 students in classes I to XII.
